Jordanna Gessler, granddaughter of Holocaust survivors, is Chief Impact Officer at Holocaust Museum LA where she oversees Education, Archives, Exhibits, and Visitor Services. With over 15 years of experience, Jordanna is a visionary leader with a proven track record in leading programs, research, and educational initiatives. Jordanna studied Holocaust history as an undergraduate at the University of Vermont and as a graduate student at the University of Haifa and holds a Leadership Certificate in Combating Antisemitism from Spertus Institute. She conducted research in Yad Vashem's Righteous Among the Nations Department and won the 2014 Yad Vashem Award for Research. Jordanna has written articles and presented internationally on topics including contemporary antisemitism, the role of Museums, and teaching empathy. Passionate about animal rights, engagement, and education, she is an active member of several organizations, is on the steering committee of the Israel-Policy Forum ATID LA, acts as co-chair of the New Leaders Project steering committee at the Jewish Federation LA, and sits on the Board of the Council for American Jewish Museums (CAJM), which is part of the White House's National Strategy to Counter Antisemitism.
