About me
Mikah Silverstone is the Director of the Lese Center for Living Judaism, the supplemental religious school program at Central Synagogue in Manhattan, which currently serves approximately 750 children in PreK-12th grade and their families and aims to create Jewish learning opportunities that stimulate and challenge students to understand what it means to live as a modern Reform Jew. Preceding her role at Central, Mikah served as the Educational Director at Temple Avodat Shalom in River Edge, NJ, and Director of K-12 Learning and Engagement at Temple Beth Avodah in Newton, MA. She received her undergraduate degree in linguistics from Brandeis University and went on to pursue a joint Master's in Jewish Education and Jewish Nonprofit Management from Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion. She is a proud product of many of the youth programs of the Reform movement, including Eisner Camp, NFTY, and NFTY-EIE High School in Israel (Heller High).
